The role
We are seeking to fill the most Senior Safety Leader role in our business. The position reports directly to our Director and will be responsible for helping our executive team drive our safety culture and developing safety related systems and procedures with the aim of zero harm across our operations. Based in our West Perth office wit travel to site as needed you will be responsible for developing annual HSE targets, tracking HSE performance to identify trends and implementing continuous improvement programs.

To be successful in this role you will require the following:
- Diploma in OHS or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a senior HSE leadership role, ideally within the mining industry
- Strong understanding and application of legislative and regulatory requirements (Mining)
- High level awareness and understanding of injury management processes and workers compensation legislation
- Track record of working with senior management and implementing HSE management plans to support the organisations HSE goals
- Ability to prepare HSE reports & other documentation for management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and build effective relationships at all levels
- Experience with coordinating risk assessment workshops to ensure project and risk alignment
- Ability to lead incident reporting and evidence gathering
- Track record of developing safety audit standards and safety training programs
- Ability to ensure team review compliance of day-to-day tasks ensuring alignment with activity risk assessment
- Ability to establish a company culture of safety first
- Experience with mobile plant operations in a construction and operational environment
- Current C Class driver’s licence
Preferred, although not essential
- First Aid or Senior First Aid Certificate
- Cert IV in Training & Assessing
- Construction White Card
